My goal isn’t to make

your dog perfect.

It’s to help you both find a way to live together peacefully and respectfully — so they can thrive in our world, and you can better understand theirs.

Training is just the excuse. What really matters are the quiet transformations it carries — the bond, the small silent revolutions.

Starting out — or starting over.

Starting out

Laying the foundations of everyday life

Your dog will soon be there — or has been with you for a few months. There are habits to build, a foundation to put in place from the start.

  • They pull on the leash
  • Recall is hit or miss
  • They jump on everyone
  • They go straight for the chicken bone on the sidewalk
  • You want to start off on the right foot

Starting over

Rebuilding what’s fallen apart

The relationship has gotten strained. Behaviors have appeared or gotten worse. You don’t know how to respond anymore — and neither does your dog.

  • They’ve become reactive or aggressive
  • They’re afraid of everything, or certain situations
  • Tension has been building at home
  • You’ve already tried things — without lasting results
  • You want to understand before you correct

MY APPROACH

Observation, listening, and respect for each dog’s pace

Training is grounded in understanding your dog as a whole: who they are today, here and now — but also the history they carry, their sometimes silent wounds, their own drives and impulses.

I work with methods where compassion guides every move. Every session is a moment of adjustment — to the dog’s pace, their age, their personality. The goal isn’t to force anything, but to open pathways of mutual understanding.

Progress comes from trust, never from fear. Ever.

FAQ

Is this right for all dogs, even adults?

Yes — dogs learn throughout their entire lives. What matters is respecting their pace and their history so we can move forward in trust.

What's the difference between dog training and behavioral work?

Training focuses on teaching the basics of everyday life together — recall, leash walking, and so on. Behavioral work comes in when there are specific difficulties: fears, aggression, stress. But the two often overlap in sessions.

What's the difference between training and retraining?

Training is about building the foundations of daily life — recall, leash walking, everyday behaviors. Retraining steps in when difficulties have already taken hold: fears, reactivity, aggression. But both overlap often in practice — and the methods are the same.

Do you use coercive methods?

Never. I work with compassionate, respectful methods grounded in positive reinforcement, attentiveness to the dog, and building a lasting bond. No yelling, no choke collars.

Do I need a behavioral assessment before starting?

Not necessarily. If the situation is complex or you’re not sure where to begin, the assessment is a great entry point. For simple everyday needs, we can dive straight into sessions.

How many sessions should I expect?

It depends on your dog, your situation, and your goals. Generally, 5 sessions are enough to build solid foundations. For more complex situations, 10 sessions provide full, ongoing support.
