Your dog doesn’t filter anything.

They feel everything.

They feel everything you carry — your tension, your emotions, your history. But they carry their own too. Their genetics, their weaning, their earliest experiences, their fears, their traumas maybe.

Behind every so-called “problematic” behavior lies a story — sometimes yours, sometimes theirs, often both intertwined. The behavioral assessment is here to untangle all of that, gently and without judgment.

This is for you if…

Your dog has behaviors that worry you

Fears, barking, aggression, hyperactivity, destructive behavior… you sense something is off but you don’t know where it’s coming from.

You just adopted

Puppy or adult dog — you want to start off on the right foot, or understand a dog whose history you don’t know.

You don’t understand your dog

No major crisis, but a feeling that something is slipping through. That the relationship could be smoother, calmer.

Things have gotten worse

The tension is building and you don’t know how to respond anymore. The assessment is the starting point for understanding what’s really going on and building an action plan.

WHAT WE EXPLORE TOGETHER

An analysis that goes deep

During the assessment, we explore several dimensions: your dog’s overall behavior and their reactions to everyday situations, their environment — home, interactions with family members, daily habits — their specific needs based on breed, age, and temperament, and your expectations as their owner.

Two dogs showing the same symptom can have completely opposite causes. That’s why the assessment refuses to generalize. Every analysis is personalized, every action plan is built for you and for them.

At the end of the assessment, you walk away with a clear understanding of what’s going on, and a concrete action plan to move forward — at your pace, with compassion.

MY APPROACH

Ethology, of course — but also something subtler and more intuitive.

The approach is grounded in the science of animal behavior in natural environments — but also in something harder to name. An attentiveness to what goes unsaid. To what plays out in the silences, the postures, the glances.

The assessment takes time because it goes deep. It doesn’t offer instant fixes — it offers real, illuminating understanding. That’s where the work begins, in that sincere meeting between you, your dog, and the truth of what they’re living.

How it works

1

Free 15 min call

We talk about your situation, your dog, what you’ve been noticing. To see if the assessment is the right next step.

2

The at-home assessment

1h30 to 2h at your place. I observe your dog in their environment, ask you questions, listen to your story, and analyze what’s going on.

3

The action plan

At the end of the session, we debrief together. I explain what I understood, and we build an action plan tailored to your duo. You receive it 48 hours later.

4

What comes next — if you want it

Some people walk away with enough tools to move forward on their own. Others choose ongoing support. Both are perfectly fine.

FAQ

How is the behavioral assessment different from a regular training session?

The assessment allows for a careful, personalized analysis of the dog in their environment, taking their history, emotions, and your expectations into account. It’s a real listening session — not just a hands-on practice session.

Is it worth doing even without a serious problem?

Yes. It’s valuable for better understanding your dog, preventing certain behaviors, or laying healthy foundations after an adoption. You don’t need to wait for a crisis to reach out.

How long does the assessment take?

On average 1h30 to 2h. That’s the time needed to observe, question, and analyze in depth. I take as long as it takes.

Do I need to be present for the whole session?

Yes — your presence is essential. Ideally, the whole family should be there: partner, children, anyone who lives with the dog day to day. The fuller the picture, the more accurate the analysis.
